Lisbon Metro System
Lisbon Portugal Tourist Information and Vacation Guide
The metro system in Lisbon Portugal is called the Metropolitano de Lisboa or simply Metro Lisboa. It is comprised of four lines that cover a total distance of 43 km.
The four lines are:
- Line A (blue): Pontinha – Terreiro do Paço
- Line B (yellow): Lumiar – Campolide
- Line C (green): Telheiras – Cais do Sodré
- Line D (red): Alameda – Moscavide
Lisbon metro stations are clearly marked with a red "M". Service is currently available between 6:30 AM and 1:00 AM. Trains depart every 5 to 8 minutes.
Lisbon Metro Service
Visitors to Lisbon can either purchase single-journey tickets or multi-day passes (1 day, 7 day or monthly). Single journey tickets cost €1.45.
The 24-hour pass costs €6.15 but unfortunately does not cover the airport shuttle service.
