St. George's Castle

St. George's Castle was originally built by the Moors and later fortified by the Romans.  It is perched on the top of Lisbon's largest hill.

Visitors to the castle can enjoy commanding views of the city and the Tagus River from its ramparts.

St. George's Castle was home to the Portuguese kings for many years. Today it contains a restaurant and museum that features archaeological artifacts.
