St. Vincent's Monastery

St. Vincent's Monastery is a stunning twin-towered structure situated in the Alfama District of Lisbon.  It was designed by Filippo Terzi and completed in 1704.

For a small fee, visitors to the monastery can climb up the towers and enjoy a panoramic view of the Alfama district, including the famous dome of the nearby Santa Engracia church.

The monastery is called "Mosteiro de Sao Vicente de Fora" in Portuguese.

Visitors to Lisbon can enjoy an excellent view of St. Vincent's Monastery from the Portas do Sol terrace which is located in the heart of Alfama.
