Lisbon (Lisboa), the capital city of Portugal, is located on the Tagus River.  It is situated on a large natural harbor that is sheltered from the Atlantic Ocean.

The city sprawls across seven hills.  Baixa, the old town, is located on the north shore of the Tagus and is sandwiched between two of those hills.

A large urban park called Monsanto Forest Park is located directly west of the city.
