The Military Museum is located in an 18th century fortress located on the River Tagus in the Belem District of Lisbon. The fortress was constructed to protect the city of Lisbon from invaders.
Called the "Museu do Combatente" in Portuguese, it features exhibits on military hardware and Portuguese military history.

This military museum is located near the Belem Tower in the Belem District. There is another military museum situated in the Alfama District of Lisbon.
